In 2018, a group of four of us from the Creative and Therapeutic Arts Course ran workshops over a four week period for pupils at Ysgol Y Deri. The participants were aged 14-16 years with learning disabilities.

The pupils had an opportunity to present ideas towards the creation of the wolf puppet which would be used in Hijinx Odyssey Theatre Production. Each week, participants were able to learn new skills through a vairation of workshops such as mono-printing, six part storytelling, sensory bunting and a salt dough activity.

We worked in a participant-led way where individuals were able to voice their ideas towards the development of the wolf. The pupil's imagination was encouraged, exploring  ideas such as - what does the wolf look like? How does he move? How does he sound? How does he feel?

The workshops were run in collaboration with other Art practitioners such as Shan Illife, Isabel Kidd, Hannah Robins and Poppy Taylor.
